Like a baby

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/10/15/daily-prompt-childlike/

A poem about how I felt when I came out of psychiatric hospital in March.

A tiny mass of matter,
a shrinking violet,
a fly in a Venus trapper.
Carry me from car to bed,
take off my gown,
“Rest your weary head.”
You fed me soup,
you dried my tears,
shouted at my guilty troops.
You ran me a bath,
you hid the blades,
sat outside the door for an hour and a half.
Childlike, little baby girl,
you kept me safe and warm,
while I was dying in the big wide world.
